Baa, Baa, "Black but not in a racist way" Sheep
My version of Baa, Baa, Black Sheep. This cartoon was inspired by the overly politically correct attitude to old fairytales and nursery rhymes. In 2014, the words of "Baa, Baa, Black Sheep" were changed to "Baa, Baa, Rainbow Sheep" by several kindergartens and nurseries in Australia. This was due to concerns over the original version of the nursery rhyme being racist. They were considering changing the line "one for the little boy who lives down the lane," in case it could be deemed sexist.
This cartoon is part of a series that includes The "Beautiful On The Inside" Duckling, Humpty Dumpty the Bungee Jumper and Three "Visually Impaired" Mice. All are available to view on my blog.
