"Planet of the Smug Apes"

Here's my cartoon for my "Planet of the Smug Apes" It is one in a collection of recent film posters that I've been working on (Others include Saw: The Musical, Jaws and the Giant Peach, The Fly and Attack of the Killer Tomatoes).

The idea for this one came about after a conversation with Lydon Fergus. We realised/decided that all the monkeys and apes from the original "Planet of the Apes" come across a little smug and rude despite ruling over the planet with an iron monkey fist.

This poster is based on the original movie poster in 1968 which sees Charlton Heston breaking down after discovering that he is actually on a future version of our Earth. (Apologies for the brief spoilers but if you haven't seen the movie by now then you should be ashamed of yourself!)
